Persuaders

After watching "The Persuaders" I was surprised at the extreme lengths advertisers are willing to reach to secure their loyalty in their costumers while also being sure to grasp their full attention in a positive way. This video really made me aware of the amount of time and hard work which marketers put into every single type of advertising, from product labels to service.

New York is cluttered with advertisements, which are all equally trying to compete against each other. The problem with this effect is that because there is so much going on in one place it makes the consumers lose interest in strength of all the advertisements. Not only does this just happen in big cities, like New York, but it is happening everywhere from T.V. to magazines. With this problem facing the advertising world, marketers have to become even more creative with the way which they are advertising.

When watching the video it did not come as a surprise that advertisers were studying cults to learn how to win over loyalty of their costumers. Something that did bother me was that consumers follow what other  people say about different brands. Many times things that people say can be misleading and follow costumers to not follow through with a purchase of a particular brand. So something that advertisers really need to pay attention to is how they perceive their product out to the buyer. This is something that can make or break a brand.
